Paul just sent me to this interesting article on the confusions of traversing a checkpoint in Iraq. (Obviously, such confusions are relevant in light of the recent death of an Italian special agent at an American checkpoint after rescuing a journalist taken hostage.)
There’s an important lesson here about context of knowledge, I think.
