- The Firm: Paul and I agree that The Firm is the best new show we’re watching this season — by far. It’s a compelling story, with thought-provoking single-episode legal cases and a very dramatic overarching conspiracy-mystery. The characters are compelling, even heroic. And the show’s themes are weighty. Due to the show’s overarching story arc, you can’t jump in mid-stream, you must watch it from the beginning.
