After the rush of launching Philosophy In Action on Sunday, I’d planned to take it easy this week. Unfortunately, my calendar wasn’t willing to play along with that plan.
On Wednesday, Ari Armstrong and I went out to Frisco (Colorado) to speak to two classes of smart and well-informed high schoolers about The Fountainhead and Objectivism. They asked us questions for three hours… no breaks. It was awesome.
Today and tomorrow, I’m at FreedomWorks’ BlogCon — which just happens to be in Denver this year. I’ve never been, and I hope that it’s good!
I’ve also been busy with Front Range Objectivism. Yesterday, we discussed “The Objectivist Ethics” from The Virtue of Selfishness in 5FROG, the Colorado Springs discussion group. On Sunday, we’ll be discussing “Speaking Freely” from Objectively Speaking, plus Craig Biddle’s Ayn Rand’s Theory of Rights and An Interview with John R. Bolton from The Objective Standard at 1FROG at our house.
Apparently, I’m going to have to try harder at “take it easy” next week!
