The fancy RFID transponders in the keys of newer cars are supposed to make those vehicles unstealable. That sounds absurd: any technological defense can be overcome — and will be, with the proper incentives. Nonetheless, it’s precisely what some insurance companies say in the course of accusing you of fabricating a car-theft claim.
