It’s a bit chilly Chez Hsieh: Minus Ten Degrees And Falling. Unfortunately, the pipes under our kitchen sink froze last night. Fortunately, they don’t seem to have burst. We’ve been trying to heat them up, but without success. I think that we need to block the draft on that side of the house (between the kitchen floor and exercise room ceiling) from the outside. However, I’m not exactly enthusiastic about going outside in such cold. Hence, the blog post. But now I’ve run out of excuses, so outside I go!
Update: Within a few hours after stuffing the tarps under the overhang in the house, the water was flowing again — and just inside the pipes. (In other words, no pipes burst.) Hooray! Obviously, I need to landscape a bit to fix that draft.
