Whittle on Tribes

Bill Whittle is one of my favorite non-Objectivist writers. He’s written an excellent essay on the situation in New Orleans, in which he explains that the issues is not race, but instead “tribes”. On the face of it this may sounds collectivistic, but if you read more closely he uses the term “tribe” to mean a chosen moral code. Read the whole thing to learn more.

My favorite line in the essay:

It’s always such a pleasure to have Germans enlighten us on the best way to move large groups of sick, downtrodden people by rail.
