Here follows my proof that the mean state is not always virtuous, with all due apologies to Aristotle:

(P2) I feel miserable.
(P3) Feeling miserable is not virtuous.
(C) The mean state is not always virtuous
Ugh.
I felt ill yesterday evening too, with heat-stroke like symptoms. I felt better after I ate my spaghetti and meatballs, however. Tonight, I’ve just been feeling horribly sick to my stomach for the past hour, right after eating the leftovers of that meal.
Blech.
